Responsibilities

  • Texas A&M Athletics department is committed to building champions through academic achievement, athletic excellence, and national recognition of student-athletes, teams, and programs.
  • The Coordinator, Athletics Venue and Operations, works under general supervision and collaborates closely with the Assistant Manager of Main Campus Operations.
  • This position provides coordination and administrative support for the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance of Special Event Operations and Main Campus facilities, ensuring efficient and effective venue management and operational activities.
  • Maintains venue operations guides for assigned venue and makes recommendations for policy and procedure implementation.
  • Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.
  • Maintains awareness of and supports the initiatives of the Athletics Department.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience working in the live event industry and/or prior event operations related work experience.
  • Other: May be required to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Helps in the preparation of required work orders, prioritize, track progress and communicate with coaches and staff concerning work.
  • Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with and ability to use various power tools.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate project goals to all members of team.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC Conference rules and regulations.

  • 12-15 days of annual paid holidays

  • Automatic enrollment in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas
