About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our Finance team.
As a Cost Accountant, you will play a critical role in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on all costs associated with the manufacturing and installation of our products, including inventory, overhead, and installation expenses.
Reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

You will work cross-functionally with our operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure accurate cost data and support sound financial decision-making.
Maintain and monitor the cost accounting system, ensuring accurate tracking of all direct and indirect costs related to product manufacturing and installation, including raw materials, labor, overhead, and installation expenses.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain, Operations and NetSuite teams to ensure accurate job costing and project cost tracking for product installations.
Prepare and distribute regular cost reports and dashboards to support management decision-making.
Support internal and external audits by maintaining well-organized and accurate cost accounting records.

2-5+ years of relative accounting experience.
Experience using ERP systems for cost and inventory accounting.
Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment.
Experience using NetSuite for cost and inventory accounting.
Working knowledge of month-end close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Experience with job costing and project-based cost tracking.
Ability to analyze cost variances and communicate findings clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.
Experience collaborating with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams.

NetSuite experience preferred.
Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
CPA or CMA certification, or progress toward certification, is a plus.
