About the role
- You will be driving Avride autonomous vehicles and will be paid an hourly rate of $25/hour.
- This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) and is based out of our Irving, Texas office, with driving primarily taking place in downtown Dallas.
- During your shift, you will work closely with remote operators and alternate between manual driving and supervising the vehicle in autonomous mode.
Responsibilities
- Submit detailed reports to support system advancements and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Experience as an autonomous vehicle operator, experience driving for an app-based company (Lyft, DoorDash, etc.), or a combination of professional driving experience and IT/technical experience.
- If you have an Uber Driver account, it must be in good standing (no deactivations or unresolved issues)
- A valid US driving license for the last 3+ years
- Candidates must be at least 25 years old, unless you have a grandfathered Uber driver account that was established before turning 25.
- Must have a clean driving record with no DUIs, drug, and/or alcohol-related offenses within the last 5 years
- Have a thorough knowledge of local traffic regulations
Nice to have
- Knowledge of vehicle technology and control systems
- Certification from safe driving or defensive driving courses
- Additional courses in Safety Driving or Defensive Driving
