- Position Overview The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in supporting the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients by performing technical laboratory testing on patient specimens.
- Working under the direction of a licensed Medical Technologist, this role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with professional laboratory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and appropriate laboratory testing of patient specimens under supervision
- Maintain safety standards while working with hazardous materials and patient specimens
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Working knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and instrumentation
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to communicate across clinical departments

- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (including those grandfathered in from CLA programs)
- Current licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician in the state of Tennessee (required only for TN-based positions)
- Graduation from a military medical laboratory program
