About the role

  • The Sourcing Specialist participates in ensuring compliance with sourcing procedures and ensuring that all transactions are made in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Transmit the appropriate supporting documents to the supplier.
  • Identify opportunities for improving lead time, cost reduction and on time delivery.
  • Support the local facility quality control department by communicating disposition of deviation reports with the supplier which may arise during tendering activities.
  • Support purchasing and warehouse functions in resolving supplier discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Continuous process improvement mindset, including experience with Lean / Six Sigma.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP Systems (E.g. SAP)..

  • These documents must be produced no later than seventy-two (72) hours after employment commences.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and equivalent minimum of two (2) years' experience in a purchasing or sourcing role.
