About the role
- UCF IT plays a crucial role in driving key aspects of the university's strategic goals in areas that impact student success, academic and research initiatives, AI innovation, and institutional operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the CIO with IT governance across the university, developing, maintaining, and championing the framework that guides technology decision-making, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Lead the strategy, development, and operational support for the central student and employee access platform, including the myUCF student portal.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer service and service delivery through active engagement with university stakeholders and partners.
- Collaborate closely with the other senior directors to ensure alignment between governance decisions, resource capacity, financial planning, and technology execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years of leadership experience
- or high school diploma (or equivalent) and 14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
Nice to have
- A graduate degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field is highly desired.
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
