About the role

  • ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Loads trucks with customer shipments.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Ability to follow instructions, handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Loads trucks with customer shipments. Builds pallets utilizing boxes being shipped to various shipping zones. Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Disposes of empty boxes, packaging, and shipment material appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions.

  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Ability to follow instructions, handle multiple assignments.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to follow instructions, handle multiple assignments. Ability to differentiate hazmat and cooler shipments. Basic reading, writing, math and communication skills.
  • Physical demands refer to the level and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform critical tasks in support of critical job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Skills

  • Ability to follow instructions, handle multiple assignments.
  • Ability to differentiate hazmat and cooler shipments.
  • Basic reading, writing, math and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent, or comparable work experience.
  • Walk on concrete floors frequently.
  • Gripping, pushing, pulling and fine hand manipulation frequently.
  • Twist or bend torso continuously.
  • Climb ladder occasionally.
  • Handling tools continuously (Tape gun, Conveyer, Pallet Jack).

Compensation

  • $36k-$50k
