About the role
- This position requires teamwork within the Quality Control and Appraisal departments as well as with our retail stores.
- Assists in preparing customer appraisals including evaluating jewelry, researching replacement pricing, and documenting official appraisal
- Asses jewelry to be sure it meets our company gemological standards
Requirements
- Graduate Gemologist required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some mandatory overtime required
- 3 years of appraisal experience is required
- A Graduate Gemologist degree is required.
- Familiarity with industry terminology and gemological equipment is required.
Nice to have
- Certified Gemologist or Certified Gemologist Appraiser title is a plus.
- USPAP compliant is a plus.
- Current or previous affiliation with ISA, NAJA or AGA is a plus.
Compensation
- Base pay, $26–35/hour.
