Responsibilities

  • Develop and assess a residential curriculum or engagement framework that reflects MSU Denver's diverse student population, including first-generation, transfer, traditional-age, and non-traditional students.
  • Lead initiatives that integrate academic partners, student success units, and campus programs into the residential experience.
  • Student Support, Case Management Collaboration & Crisis Response
  • Coordinate closely with the CARE Team, Counseling Services, Conduct, Accessibility Services, and other student support offices to implement individualized care plans, follow-up strategies, and proactive outreach.
  • Train staff in conflict resolution, de-escalation, and student support best practices.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and communication, including use of Maxient or similar systems.
  • Support opening, closing, move-in/move-out, summer operations, and major departmental initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience supervising full-time residential life staff
  • Experience with student conduct processes and documentation systems (e.g., Maxient or similar)
  • Experience managing student crises or case management in a residential or student-facing setting
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends
  • Experience supporting or engaging diverse student populations through programs, services, or residential initiatives

Nice to have

  • Experience launching or significantly expanding a residence life program or residential community
  • Experience partnering with housing operations, facilities, or third-party O&M providers
  • Experience with housing or assignments systems
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Exempt
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities are required
  • We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $74,944 - $90,000.
