About the role

  • The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and orderliness of the property and oversight of the maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction in accordance with department protocol.
  • This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our buildings, creating safe, functional environments for tenants, clients, and patients.
  • Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members regarding building needs
  • Support the Supervisor/Property Manager in monitoring building operations and vendor performance
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walking

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience
  • Must be located in Indianapolis, IN area with availability for after-hours emergencies and participation in on-call rotation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferred
  • Certifications (e.g., HVAC, CFC Handling, Electrical, Plumbing) preferred

Skills

  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts

  • This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base salary Ventas reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting.
