Responsibilities
- Partner with clients ranging from early stage to large publicly traded organizations in an industry agnostic environment
- Research on SEC filing requirements, and preparation of supporting accounting schedules and other audit support
- Serve as a technical accounting subject-matter expert for the firm's valuation practice, providing ad hoc research and support
- Execute and lead Accounting & Reporting Advisory engagements with primary responsibility for research and preparation of client deliverables
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and support communication with client, identifying issues, resolving discrepancies, and escalating matters as appropriate.
Requirements
- Experience interpreting complex accounting standards/treatment and documenting into practical terms
- Deep experience with M&A transactions, particularly with post-acquisition integration
- Experience presenting to the c-suite and executive tier
- Familiarity with accounting systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com, and Expensify
- Familiarity with or interest in using AI tools and technology to enhance productivity, research, and analysis.
- Accountability and ability to multi-task
- Bachelor of Finance or Accounting
- 8+ years of finance process and / or transformation experience
- Broad knowledge of US GAAP, which may include: purchase accounting, derivatives, complex debt and equity securities, stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, and lease accounting
- Financial statement preparation
- Entrepreneurial and client-service focused
- Strong organizational skills
- Relationship-focused (with clients, peers, management, etc.)

- Shows creativity in problem solving
Nice to have
- Combination of audit and advisory experience
- Post-acquisition transaction experience preferred
- Embrace changing client-imposed deadlines with flexibility and adaptability.
- AICPA and PCAOB-level audit readiness preferred
Compensation
- Broad knowledge of US GAAP, which may include: purchase accounting, derivatives, complex debt and equity securities, stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, and lease accounting
