About the role

This role ensures seasonal plantings, propagation, and garden layouts align with organizational needs, including assisting with greenhouse operations and providing guidance to seasonal helpers.
Plan, plant, grow, and harvest flowers and vegetables according to seasonal needs, ensuring optimal health and timing for events, culinary use, and retail purposes.
Communicate proactively and professionally with team members and managers to ensure alignment, share updates, and resolve issues.

Support greenhouse operations as needed, including assisting with seed starting, soil preparation, and cultivation of flowers and vegetables for events, culinary use, and retail.
Collaborate actively in a team-oriented environment to accomplish shared goals and support cross-functional initiatives.
Build relationships between the indoor and outdoor design teams
Collaborate with stakeholders to design garden layouts and develop planting schedules aligned with organizational needs and seasonal themes.
Perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities, including as listed in GlassFrog, and support other teams as assigned, which may fall outside the essential duties and responsibilities.

A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in plant care is required, including both indoor plants and outdoor flowers or flowering shrubs.
Proven experience with plant propagation is essential, as it constitutes a significant portion of the responsibilities.
An associate degree in horticulture is preferred.
Alternatively, a Master Gardener certification or equivalent training may be accepted.
Practical knowledge of greenhouse operations and seasonal planting schedules is preferred.
