About the role

  • This role will also be responsible for growing event sponsorship revenue across our Americas region.

Responsibilities

  • Own a personal sales target and regional (Americas) revenue target region for bespoke events
  • Develop a renewal strategy for existing clients
  • Manage client relationships throughout lifecycle of the project as well as work on renewal discussions
  • Develop an understanding of the Economist brand's positioning in the global market as well ensuring adherence to editorial guidelines
  • Track record of building sales revenue and developing new business
  • Ability to work independently to create new business opportunities

Requirements

  • Experience in event-related sponsorship sales is essential
  • Experience in working with client-focused teams in a consultative project or events environment
  • Experience presenting to and negotiating with senior decision-makers of large multi-national corporations
  • Ability to generate ideas and transform good ideas into practice
  • A good team player with the ability to think strategically and tactically

Compensation

  • The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 - $140,000.
