About the role

  • We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (Civil / Earthworks) to lead large-scale site development and heavy civil scopes supporting new nuclear projects.
  • You will manage the full lifecycle of civil project scopes, from early site preparation and constructability planning through execution and turnover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with nuclear safety and regulatory standards.
  • You will coordinate civil engineering teams, geotechnical consultants, construction contractors, utilities, and cross-disciplinary stakeholders (electrical, mechanical, I&C) while proactively managing risks related to site conditions, constructability, logistics, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

  • You take ownership of site performance, schedule, cost, safety, and quality, and drive teams toward measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and optimize construction sequencing plans that align civil works with mechanical, electrical, and structural installation milestones to avoid downstream delays.
  • Manage EPC partners, heavy civil contractors, and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, productivity, and adherence to nuclear-grade standards.
  • Proactively manage budgets, forecasts, contingency planning, and schedule risk for large-scale infrastructure scopes with significant capital impact.
  • Support innovative reactor deployments by introducing modularization strategies, digital construction tools, and lean site management practices that redefine how nuclear sites are built.
  • Proven Construction Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contractors through complex site execution in regulated or safety-critical environments.
  • Results & Accountability: You take ownership of site performance, schedule, cost, safety, and quality, and drive teams toward measurable outcomes.
  • At NPX, we design our environment around the whole person, not just the job they do.

Requirements

  • This role will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of earthworks, grading, excavation, foundations, underground utilities, concrete structures, and enabling works required for reactor construction.
  • Oversee grading, excavation, soil stabilization, foundation works, structural concrete, drainage systems, underground services, and access infrastructure required for new reactor builds.
  • Risk & Site Awareness: Strong understanding of geotechnical challenges, constructability constraints, environmental considerations, and large-scale project logistics.

Compensation

  • $140-170k (Exact compensation may vary)
  • 💰👀 Financial wellbeing? Covered. That means competitive pay and recognition for the impact you make.

Benefits

  • 🧠 Mind: Tools and support for mental wellness, professional growth, and financial security.
  • 🧘‍♀️ Body: Health coverage, a spending account, and the freedom to rest and recharge.
  • 🌀 Soul: Meaningful work, alignment with your values, and time to refresh with time off.
