- You will work closely with leaders across the enterprise establishing underwriting strategies, standards, guidelines, authority standards and the audit process.
Responsibilities
- Establishes & implements strategic objectives, underwriting strategies and best practices with substantial impact on the short-term success of Construction
- Evaluates and drives underwriting quality and performance based on financial analysis; includes rate, reserve adequacy, operational, planning and product reviews and develops plans to resolve issues.
- Drives adherence to underwriting authority delegation and audit criteria for Construction.
- Collaborates with both business partners in Underwriting, Risk Control, Actuarial, Claim, Operations and Compliance to address governance and compliance issues related to underwriting practices and across the Commercial Industry Segment organization and the broader product/strategy team.
- Establishes and implements underwriting guidelines, policy, forms, and manuscript endorsements; identifies gaps in product offerings.
- May take lead responsibility for the development of underwriting strategies and position papers for emerging issues when assigned.
- Maintains relationships with field underwriting teams, brokers, agents, and customers to assess risk tolerance, market appetite and emerging issues.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners within scope of responsibility, team and/or matrix environment.
- Ability to drive results by identifying and resolving problems within scope of responsibility.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with Master's preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent.
- You will need to leverage your high degree of technical understanding to coordinate complex strategies across Construction and the enterprise.
