About the role

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated, self-starter to advance their paralegal career by developing an understanding of the anatomy of defense litigation through hands-on experience in a fast-paced litigation group.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documents
  • Review, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendants
  • Manage documents and organize case files

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work independently and be proactive
  • Experience preparing pleadings and discovery requests/responses, summarizing medical, employment, and military records, and supporting trial
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical
  • Clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing

Nice to have

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited Paralegal program/course preferred
  • 2+ years toxic personal injury and/or tort litigation experience preferred, including asbestos, talc, silica, benzene, mold, or similar cases
  • Trial preparation experience a plus
  • iManage experience a plus
  • Experience with e-discovery and using Relativity or other document review platforms is a plus

Compensation

  • $80,000 - $110,000 USD
