About the role
- AmpThink is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structured Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team.
- As a Senior Technician, you will also mentor junior technicians and ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards and within deadlines.
- Conduct site surveys to assess cabling needs and prepare reports for project planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead the installation and termination of copper and fiber optic cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, and multimode fiber.
- Document progress and changes to cabling infrastructure throughout project execution.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to ensure project timelines and quality expectations are met.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in structured cabling installation within commercial or large venue environments.
- Strong understanding of cabling standards including ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NEC.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with testing and certification of cabling systems using industry-standard equipment.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of IP networking and data center infrastructure is a plus.
- Certifications such as BICSI Installer, Fiber Optic Certification, or similar are preferred but not mandatory.
