Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Energy Management, Law, Public Policy, or Regulatory Studies.
- Prior internship, co-op, or academic experience in compliance, risk management, energy markets, finance, or regulatory environments is an asset.
- Experience with data analysis, research, or policy development is beneficial.
- In order to be considered for this role you must be legally eligible to work in Canada .
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
- Experience with Power BI, Python, or SQL is an asset.
- Ability to conduct regulatory research and synthesize complex information.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Supporting the monitoring of trading activities and assisting in identifying potential compliance risks across physical and financial power markets.
- Supporting special projects and initiatives related to the development of the internal compliance program.
- Assisting with regulatory research and communicating the developments from key regulatory bodies.
- Contributing to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Assisting in the preparation of internal reports, documentation, and audit materials.
- Supporting compliance training efforts, including preparing materials and coordinating learning sessions.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Trading, Risk, Legal, and Operations.
- Assisting in data analysis and validation to support trade surveillance and reporting activities.
