Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain real-time embedded platform and application software.
- Develop hardware and software interfaces that bridge abstraction layers.
- Build fault and alarm subsystems to detect, report, and manage defects.
- Create system applications for traffic protection, equipment protection, and performance monitoring.
- Develop platform interfaces that abstract low-level software and hardware components.
- Familiarity with software design patterns (e.g., blocking vs non-blocking, multithreading)
- Developing software for embedded systems or telecom products
Compensation
- The annual pay range for this role is $68,800 - $109,800
- Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.

- Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
