About the role
- The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician at the Verdigris Plant is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of instruments, automation systems, and electrical distribution systems.
- This job involves quickly solving problems before they get bigger to keep the plant running smoothly.
- You will report to the Supervisor of (I&E) and belong to the Instrumentation and Electrical team and work onsite.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and install electrical systems and motors, handling voltages up to 4160 VAC.
- Participate in HAZOPs, change management, and procurement for I & E infrastructure maintenance and design.
- Support the implementation and documentation of projects across the plant.
- These tools support but do not replace human decision-making, and all final employment decisions are made by our Talent Acquisition team and/or hiring managers exercising independent judgment.
Requirements
- Two years of relevant experience in process instrumentation and control systems.
- Familiarity with HART instrumentation, DCS, and BMS is beneficial.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 lbs occasionally.
