About the role

  • Summary We have a job opening for the position of Accounting/Audit Business Unit Student at Palmetto GBA, a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.
  • may vary based on departmental needs and the intern's experience.
  • The intern will work closely with the Audit team and will be exposed to a wide range of activities, including reviewing non hospital provider cost reports.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in business unit/department training designed to help this position acquire applicable knowledge/skills in their area of study.

  • Required Work Experience: No previous work experience is required.
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.

  • 1 year-general work history/experience.
  • Comfortable communicating with others and willing to ask questions when unsure
  • Able to follow guidelines, processes, and structured workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic knowledge of Excel or an interest in learning more

Compensation

  • May conduct research and analysis of various reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
