Responsibilities
- 6809 122nd Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142 and will also support the Lakeside Pediatrics clinic and the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) in Mount Pleasant.
Requirements
- Ability to shift from one language to another in simultaneous and consecutive mode of interpreting.
- Must pass verbal and written proficiency tests with an overall score of 80%.
- National certification must be completed within 2 years of hire either through CCHI or the National Board, and certification must be maintained.

- Medical Interpreter course completion through a Technical School or higher education institution strongly preferred
- Requires at minimum a High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
- Includes proven Spanish linguistic abilities in medical interpreting and knowledge of the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) code of ethics.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology used in primary care and dental services through completion of Medical Terminology class
- Assists in facilitating communication between staff and clients or patients and their parents or guardians, before, during and after treatment using less complex medical terminology.
