About the role

  • PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Material Planner to join our team in Grand Prairie!
  • As the Material Planner, you will ensure a steady flow of all materials needed to keep a manufacturing line operating.
  • You will team up with the company's purchasing department to acquire the requisite materials from vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Continue expediting efforts to support the Component Shortage List.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Lean principles.
  • Minimum White Belt required.
  • Prior experience with an ERP system required, QAD experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles. Minimum White Belt required.

Nice to have

  • Daily MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) review.
  • Rejected POs will go to planning for quantity or date issues, and sourcing for pricing issues.
  • Communicate changes on notes missing in the item master.
  • Wok on de-expediting, expediting, and canceling POs on a monthly basis working with suppliers.
  • Work on excess and obsolete material monthly list.
  • Work with master scheduler and production planners to eliminate material shortages.
  • Take daily action on Past Due POs.
  • Expanded activity based on changing MRP environment.
