About the role

  • THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
  • The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees.
  • The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible.

Requirements

  • Experience participating in the direction and coordination of traffic management functions.
  • Experience interpreting and providing routine advice on carrier tariffs and related routing guides.
  • Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures.
  • Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges.
  • Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement.
  • Experience in making effective presentations both orally and in writing.
  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional
