About the role

Northeastern University is a national leader in cooperative education in which students alternate between academic study and work experiences.
The Office of the Chancellor is seeking a Co-op Faculty Coordinator with an initial focus in the College of Professional Studies.
This position is a full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month faculty appointment which may be reappointed on an annual basis..

The Co-op Coordinator also maintains contact with students while engaged in their co-op experience and works with students through their post-co-op reflection.
They educate, advise, and coach students, developing and delivering effective teaching and coaching programs that enable students to be successful in today's global business environment.
The Coordinator collaborates with academic faculty, administration, and the co-op community to guide students in the integration of their co-op and academic experiences.
Employer Relations/Job Development: The Co-op Coordinator develops new partnerships and expands current employer programs by engaging with managers, human resources contacts, and alumni.
Activities to support this endeavor include site visits to new and existing employers, outreach to potential new co-op employer partners, and active participation in relevant professional organizations.
High-level customer-orientation, strong presentation skills, and experience in building and maintaining client relationships is essential.

Experience working with a varied staff and/or student population.
Proficiency in computer/technology and database maintenance, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively engage a diverse network of global stakeholders, across time zones.
A master's degree in college student development, counseling, education, psychology or a health science/public health related field is required by the appointment start date, as well as a minimum of three years work experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and comfort presenting to diverse audiences.
Knowledge and appreciation of cooperative education and/or experiential learning and its impact on an individual's career development.

Professional experience within the project management or analytics field is a plus
Experience as a career coach, certification preferable, but not required
Experience working with an international student population
Teaching experience in a classroom environment
Additional Information
Prior professional experience in industry is preferred.

The Co-op Coordinator educates students through their career development.
This includes, but is not limited to, working with students one-on-one, in workshops and in the classroom.
The Co-op Coordinator teaches a career education course each semester, and coaches students through group and individual meetings.

Assistant Coop Coordinator: $66,000.00 - $80,000.00 | Associate Coop Coordinator: $73,000.00 - $93,000.00
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
