About the role

As a Product Designer at Numeral, you are accountable for outcomes, not artifacts.
You work with PMs, engineers, and other designers to define the right problems in a domain most people find intimidating - sales tax, VAT, GST, filings, registrations - and ship product experiences that change how finance and accounting teams operate.
Work starts in an LLM, moves into tools like Claude Code and Cursor to explore flows and interactions, and then comes into Figma for systems and polish.

Own product work end to end.
Partner with PM and engineering to define problems, explore solution spaces, validate concepts, and ship improvements that move key metrics - activation, time-to-first-filing, registration completion, customer-reported confidence.
Validate with self-serve research. Talk directly to controllers, AP leads, and founders running ecommerce, SaaS, and digital businesses. Run quick tests. Treat research as a velocity tool, not a gate.
Prototype using AI tools. Use Cursor and Claude Code to build and iterate on flows against real product surfaces. Let AI generate code while you guide structure, behavior, and UX quality. Partner with engineers to decide what moves into the product.
Active use of LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT in your design workflow.
A portfolio that shows strong product thinking, interaction design, and craft on dense, data-heavy surfaces.
