About the role
- Add, delete, or change user accounts on hospital systems, maintaining proper documentation and controls.
- Monitor and control tape backup systems, ensuring error free backups of user data, system data, and patient data.
- Responsible for acting as an inter-departmental liaison to solve all interface and integration related issues.
Responsibilities
- Unix, Windows storage, enterprise backups, active directory, exchange, enterprise anti-virus protection and any other software in support of the infrastructure.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of two year of experience providing network infrastructure support.
- Duties to include design, implementation and support of network and telecommunications infrastructure equipment including but not limited to active directory, exchange, virtualization and other enterprise systems.
- Perform setup and installation of network equipment to include proper testing and burn-in of system components.
- Maintain knowledge of computer technology and network technology.
- Recommends and installs upgrades as approved by the Network Infrastructure Lead.
- Plan and implement new network systems, while maintaining proper controls and ensuring maximum user uptime.
Requirements
- Qualifications Three or more years of experience.
- Can be substituted for a degree in computer science.
- Courses required in Microcomputer hardware repair.
- Assess network infrastructure needs and make recommendations to Network Infrastructure Lead on recommended hardware platforms and software applications to meet required needs.
