About the role

  • The salary range for this position to be filled in the Yazdani Studio in Los Angeles is $97,400 to $121,800 annually.
  • We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Established upon the reputation and leadership of award-winning designer Mehrdad Yazdani, the studio leverages the best attributes of a small design studio with the resources and reach of our global practice.
  • CannonDesign is a design practice where strategy, experience, architecture, engineering, and social impact converge.
  • We don't just dream up solutions - we create and bring them to life in ways to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our clients and the society.
  • You will be a key participant in the design process, translating ideas into built environment solutions, and provide project design leadership across multiple projects.
  • You will help nurture and develop people and be a voice in your teams and your office for design excellence.
  • In collaboration with design leaders and team members, conceptualize design solutions and develop them throughout all phases of a project.
  • Create innovative design concepts that synthesize our clients' culture, goals and aspirations to deliver solutions responsive specifically to them.
  • Perform in a supporting role to senior design leaders, effectively translating shared design goals and ideas for both team and client.
  • Focus on schematic design, and design development, while also collaborating closely with project architects to guide detailing and construction documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
  • Experience with one or more real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work.
  • Experience with digital media creation and editing in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications required.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or related field required.
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
  • Command of Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office required.
  • Additional 3D modeling experience in Rhino or other comparable software preferred.
  • Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position to be filled in the Yazdani Studio in Los Angeles is $97,400 to $121,800 annually.
