About the role
- We are seeking a dedicated Local Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and strategic management within a specific geographic area.
- This position ensures our fleet operates safely, compliantly, and cost-effectively while supporting operational needs.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet operations, logistics, and personnel management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, assignment, maintenance, and disposal
- Ensure fleet supports operational needs and maintains high availability
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to maximize vehicle uptime and longevity
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, registrations, and certifications
- Develop and manage fleet budgets with focus on cost per mile optimization
- Track fuel usage, optimize fuel efficiency, and manage fuel card programs
- Negotiate and manage relationships with leasing companies, maintenance providers, and equipment suppliers
Requirements
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office
Nice to have
- Experience with telematics and fuel management systems preferred

- $60,000- $70,000
