Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and validate subsystem functionality (software, controls, sensors/actuators, or hardware interfaces) in alignment with system requirements and architecture.
- Support system integration and issue resolution by diagnosing problems in test cells, simulations, or the field and proposing corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, controls engineers, hardware teams, validation, and applications to ensure robust implementation.
- Document designs, test results, and decisions to support releases, audits, and product lifecycle needs.
- ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Requirements
- Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis
- ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
- Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
- ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and their applications
- Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques
- ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
- Degree Requirement
- Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

Compensation
- $97,530.00 - $146,290.00
- Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
