Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) and document quality results for compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality teams to refine processes, reduce waste, and improve cycle times.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, and maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with lean manufacturing principles.

  • Allen Control Systems is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist for second and weekend shifts, to support prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation of mills and lathes.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and reading technical documents.
  • Proficiency in CAM programming and operation, as well as reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and GD&T standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Nice to have

  • completion of a CNC machining apprenticeship or vocational program preferred.
