About the role
- This role focuses on supporting clients living in continuing care who experience isolation, or low stimulation during late afternoon and evening hours.
- Working collaboratively with Recreation Therapy and other members of the interdisciplinary team contributes to enhancing residents' emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well-being through integrated therapeutic programming.
- The position emphasizes maximizing safe, functional independence and improving quality of life through individualized and interdisciplinary interventions.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Eligible for membership in CAOT.
- AADL Authorizer is an asset.
