- Primary duties include crisis intervention, risk assessment, diagnostic impression utilizing the DSM, short-term stabilization services as well as individual and group therapy.
Requirements
- In the final year and within three months of graduation from a Master's degree program recognized from an accredited program in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy or closely related field.
- Graduation must be achieved within three months of hire to remain employed in a QMHP capacity.
- Knowledge of psychiatric terminology and the process of psychiatric diagnosis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Must have organizational and leadership skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate good independent judgment, adapt to new duties and work in a changing environment.
