About the role
- Ensure effective implementation of a company-wide Protection Services program.
- Responsible for the implementation of a broad range of strategic security consultative services as directed by Enterprise Security management.
- Conduct complex investigations and work with other members of the staff to ensure successful and timely closure of cases.
Responsibilities
- Develop, and implement programs to meet regulatory requirements, protect Company assets and prevent the loss/damage to Xcel Energy personnel, property, and information.
- This also includes working with the security systems team to design effective security systems based on survey recommendations that will meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop and present regulated and non-regulated security awareness programs to ensure timely and effective communication of security related information to management, employees and contractors.
- Develop and deploy loss prevention strategies at high-risk sites.
Requirements
- Create and update site-specific security plans for all required sites.
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Business, Public Administration or a related field
- At least five years of industrial security experience in a corporate environment or a combination of military and law enforcement experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be able to work alone and make critical decisions with little input from management.
- Must be physically capable of meeting demands of the position.
Compensation
- $73,700.00 to $120,566.66 per year
