About the role

  • To provide education to patients and staff.
  • To consult with physicians and nursing staff on a 24 hour basis regarding care of patients on dialysis.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets lab values for critical levels maintains ability to operate hemodialysis machines, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and slow low efficient dialysis (sled)
  • Audits equipment and coordinates Dialysis Tech II and LPN IIs. Performs as charge nurse as needed.
