About the role

Under minimal supervision, the Plumbing Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in plumbing technology across a variety of instructional formats and locations.
include documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing instructional technologies and tools relevant to the trade.

Requires an associate's degree in Plumbing Technology, Construction Technology, or a closely related field.
The instructor must be able to read and interpret technical documents such as safety regulations, building codes, blueprints, and installation manuals.

Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance and repair.
Experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing systems preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Must hold (or be willing to obtain) Journeyman or Master Plumber License
OSHA certification, and other industry certifications preferred.
A combination of licensure and/or certification in conjunction with work experience may be considered in the absence of a college degree.

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, piping materials, and installation techniques.
Ability to read and apply plumbing codes, blueprints, and schematics.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including water, drainage, and gas systems.
Knowledge of safety practices, tools, and equipment used in the plumbing trade.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
Basic computer skills and ability to use instructional technologies.
