About the role

Responsibilities
- Developing and preparing the University's operation budget, budget request, and estimates revenue and expenditures.
- Preparing revenue/expenditure projections, funding allocations, budget justifications and legislative review documents.
- Maintaining computerized budget system and designs and implements enhancements to the system when necessary.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Financials, HR, and Student Services software or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning software packages such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or Workday.
- Proven success as a strategic thinker and in working with multi-year budget projects.
- Forward thinker with the ability to see the connections and pathways from today to 5 years ahead.
- Experience connecting budget to the strategic plan for implementation with on-going attention to alignment and refinement.
- Experience working collaboratively with and across all institutional stakeholders and with external groups to communicate budget decisions, processes, planning, and monitoring practices.
- Knowledge of state government organization, functions and services.
- Demonstrated high-level organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fastpaced, detail-oriented, and time-sensitive environment.
- Proven track record of successful analytic and project management skills, experience with budget management systems, financial software, and an enterprise resource (ERP) system.
Nice to have
- Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Master's degree preferred.
