Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience developing and implementing best-practices specific to cost management, supplier management, and risk mitigation
- Lead sourcing related activities such as supplier investigation, supplier selection/award, major raw material cost rolls/updating, material master maintenance, supplier documentation maintenance & due diligence requirements
- Manage projects/initiatives from inception to delivery, creating and managing against detailed project plans/schedules
- Leads supplier meetings & participates in relevant project meetings to help define project scope and objectives
- Developing category-specific/project costing models & sourcing strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Leading global cost reduction initiatives, conducting regular cost benchmarking to ensure cost competitiveness and develop supply risk mitigation strategies.
- Regularly reviews Sourcing policies, procedures and workflows to ensure up-to-date document version and adherence to processes.
- Managing supplier performance by engaging with cross-functional business partners to drive supplier performance improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree Business or Engineering, or equivalent working experience
- Minimum eight-years' experience in procurement and category in industrial/ manufacturing sectors
- Minimum five-years' experience in global sourcing and category management
- Strong understanding and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically in an industrial manufacturing setting
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven people-management experience
Nice to have
- Direct experience with high-impact commodities with deep understanding of raw metal alloys, steel fabrications, instrumentation & controls, pumps, valves and 3rd party contract manufacturing is preferred
