About the role
- The Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician.
- Previous experience using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft, e-mail, etc.
- Requires prior approval or guidance from supervisor: Time/schedule changes; legal issues; directed care which deviates from, standard; and identify educational resources to meet developmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Emotional support, and problem solving; all in accordance with hospital, nursing, and unit policy/procedure.
