Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will perform the WCCA and work alongside the Ford Electrical & Electronic HW Technical Specialists and with the design team to create innovative new electrical and electronics systems and products, and drive engineering excellence.
- include implementation of circuits including schematic and PCB layout, proving out the designs using the latest analysis and simulation methods and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Perform tolerance stack up/worst case circuit analyses (Extreme Value, RMS or Monte Carlo as required).
- Perform power integrity (PDN, IRdrop) and signal integrity analysis as required.
- Define stress test routines required to validate functional sections.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.
- Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
Skills
- Spice, Saber, etc.
- 3+ years of experience with vehicle communication protocols CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet.
- Experience in specialized complex hardware and embedded software systems.
- Familiar with automotive reliability requirements, and component selection for automotive electronics.
- Collaboration and leadership skills.
Compensation
- This position is a salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $74,300-$166,200.
- Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
