Responsibilities

  • Xylem is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations to enable all employees to perform their essential job functions.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental
  • Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and shop support equipment
  • Perform diagnostic checks using computer-based tools and technology
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation to support customers after hours
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills

  • 3-5 years of diesel technician/mechanic experience and/or relevant training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with diesel engine experience
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
  • CDL Class B - Preferred
  • Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.), if applicable
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues (advanced diagnostics preferred)
  • Knowledge of equipment repair methods, tools, and techniques
  • Basic understanding of pump station electrical controls and monitoring systems
  • Experience with DC electrical systems and circuit testing
  • Familiarity with diesel engine components and systems
  • Understanding of safety practices and procedures

Compensation

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $26/hr. - $34/hr.
  • Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
