Chemours is seeking a R&D Associate Chemist to join our growing Thermal & Specialty Solutions team.
This position will be available at the at the Chemours™ Discovery Hub in Newark, DE.

Bachelor's or associate degree in chemistry and similar technical fields, or High school diploma with 5+ years of relevant chemistry laboratory experience.
At least five years of experience working in a chemistry laboratory setting
Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safe working practices.
Experience in working with HF or willingness to learn how to deal with HF
The ability to accurately record observations and results consistent with protection of intellectual property

The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
GC-MS operation and maintenance experience
Experience with compression and pipe fittings.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Automation and Instrumentation experience.

Carry out daily lab operation including set up reactions, purification, and characterization (GC-Ms, NMR, IR, MS etc.).
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and devices.
Execute designed experiments under supervision of senior chemists.
Record, analyze, and report data using software and databases.
Follow quality control and quality assurance procedures and regulations.

$73,947.00 - $115,542.00
