About the role
- Working in partnership with law enforcement and other security organizations, JSN promotes a culture of personal responsibility, vigilance, and preparedness.
- The role serves as a key operational and relationship-management function within the broader national security program.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency protocols, procedures, and preparedness plans.
Responsibilities
- Community Engagement & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a primary operational point of contact for smaller and developing communities requiring ongoing security support and coordination.
- Support outreach initiatives designed to strengthen institutional preparedness and community resiliency.
- Support institutions in prioritizing and implementing security recommendations and infrastructure improvements.
- Coordinate and support emergency exercises, drills, and training initiatives.
- Support implementation of physical security enhancements, including coordination with vendors and contractors.
- Assist with grant-related support, documentation, and project tracking tied to security enhancement initiatives.
- Support security planning and operational coordination for community events and gatherings.
- Volunteer & Training Support
- Deliver or support security awareness and preparedness training sessions for community institutions and groups.
Requirements
- Assist in maintaining strong working relationships with community institutions, leadership teams, volunteers, and stakeholders across Ontario and other regions as required.
Compensation
- 80,000 CAD Annually
