Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders from R&D, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments to understand needs and translate them into data science questions and production solutions; provide guidance and enablement to colleagues.
  • This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem framing, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Work closely with IT, Enterprise Data Systems (EDS), and data engineering teams to ensure the availability, quality, and governed use of data required for AI/ML initiatives.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving environments and collaborating effectively across disciplines.

Skills

  • Expert proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Extensive experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services and Snowflake.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD.
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Curious, questioning mindset-asks the right questions and challenges assumptions to understand workflows before implementing solutions.
  • Preferred
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Familiarity with drug discovery and development processes.

Compensation

  • The targeted salary range for this position is $152,400 - $190,500 per year.
