About the role
- In this position, you will handle various responsibilities daily, such as decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments, medical devices, and equipment to avert infection and guarantee patient safety.
- This role encompasses processing and packaging medical supplies, overseeing instrument inventories, preparing case carts for surgical procedures, and ensuring that sterilizers operate correctly.
- This behind-the-scenes position demands careful attention to detail, technical expertise, strict compliance with safety protocols, and strong collaboration skills.
Compensation
- Collect & handle used instruments, to treat with different chemicals to sterilize them for future use
- Package, store and distribute instruments whilst providing strong documentation where needed and assigned
- Maintain records and update inventory to ensure all sterilized items are accounted for
- Coordinate and communicate with surgical teams to meet the demand for sterilized equipment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong Organizational Skills
