About the role

  • Job Title: Professional I, Payroll Tax Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Tax Professional I!
  • You are an individual contributor, focusing on evaluating, analyzing, and auditing payroll programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Finance on changes affecting payroll tax accruals and resolving related issues
  • Collaborate with Payroll Specialists and HRIS on creation and maintenance of tax related reporting within Workday
  • Collaborate with Finance in the preparation of payroll tax related journal entries
  • Maintain relationship with third-party tax vendor

Requirements

  • The employee is regularly required to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone/headset, and/or other office equipment as essential functions of this position.
  • Workday experience required
  • Must be able to create and reconcile spreadsheets for payroll and tax related data.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, co-workers, and external vendors and government agencies
  • As part of the hiring process, candidates may be required to undergo background screening and identity verification, where permitted by applicable law and consistent with the requirements of the role.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience with payroll tax and compliance matters; Bachelor's Degree in related field from four-year college or university preferred
  • Must be able to create and reconcile spreadsheets for payroll and tax related data. Strong reconciliation skills, detail oriented, proficient in MS excel
  • Experience preparing periodic tax forms and tax filings
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, co-workers, and external vendors and government agencies; demonstrated ability to effectively present information to internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with peers and management in organizing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment

Nice to have

  • 3 to 4 years of experience with payroll tax and compliance matters
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field from four-year college or university preferred
  • Enrolled Agent designation preferred
  • ADP SmartCompliance experience preferred

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is $67k- $75k, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance.
