Coordinate with internal teams to manage employee transactions, including transfers and leaves of absence. Maintain employee information within internal databases and systems.
Support onboarding and offboarding administration.
Project manage planned and ad-hoc activities for the People Business Partner team as needed
In this contract role on AlixPartners' Corporate Services team, you will assist our People Business Partner team on a wide range of tasks related to day-to-day functions and operations, as well as project work to support the team's strategic agenda.
The HR Business Services Specialist (known internally as People Business Services Professional) is a full-time, contract role located in New York, NY, and reports to a Business Partner Manager.
Ability to deliver accurate, timely work with professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to deliver clear messages and collaborate effectively within and across teams.

Ability to be discreet and handle confidential, sensitive information.
Desire to learn new skills and commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of initiative.
MUST BE CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required.
Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
Minimum two to three (2-3) years of professional experience in Human Resources, talent management, or a related field
OR a current master's degree student with zero to one (0-1) years of relevant experience.
Professional services firm experience preferred.
Familiarity with HCM (Human Capital Management) software is a plus.
Comfort with or curiosity about AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., AI summarization, copilot, data analysis assistants) strongly preferred.
