Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal teams to manage employee transactions, including transfers and leaves of absence. Maintain employee information within internal databases and systems.
- Support onboarding and offboarding administration.
- Project manage planned and ad-hoc activities for the People Business Partner team as needed
- In this contract role on AlixPartners' Corporate Services team, you will assist our People Business Partner team on a wide range of tasks related to day-to-day functions and operations, as well as project work to support the team's strategic agenda.
- The HR Business Services Specialist (known internally as People Business Services Professional) is a full-time, contract role located in New York, NY, and reports to a Business Partner Manager.
- Ability to deliver accurate, timely work with professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to deliver clear messages and collaborate effectively within and across teams.

- Desire to learn new skills and commitment to continuous improvement with a high degree of initiative.
- MUST BE CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required.
- Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum two to three (2-3) years of professional experience in Human Resources, talent management, or a related field
- OR a current master's degree student with zero to one (0-1) years of relevant experience.
- Professional services firm experience preferred.
- Familiarity with HCM (Human Capital Management) software is a plus.
- Comfort with or curiosity about AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., AI summarization, copilot, data analysis assistants) strongly preferred.
