Employer immigration record

from this employer's Department of Labor filings

Green-card follow-through: 100%

Of 7 labor certifications old enough to have been used, 0 expired without the employer filing the next step. Median time from filing to decision: 515 days.100% of their filings were for a worker who already held the job.Only certifications past the 180-day window are counted — recent ones cannot have expired yet.

Files H-1B transfers

10 transfer filings in the last year, covering 10 workers. Median labor-condition decision: 7 days. An employer that already files transfers is one that can take over an existing H-1B.

About the role

  • Samsara's AI has helped prevent accidents that would have harmed an estimated 380,000 people per year.
  • Every model we ship runs in the real world, on real roads, protecting real drivers.
  • Every Samsara dash cam, gateway, and industrial sensor runs AI at the edge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of ~5 firmware and ML engineers. Your team builds, optimizes, and deploys AI models on Samsara's fleet and industrial devices. Your work directly affects whether a driver gets a warning before a collision, not after.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership. Lead from the front technically, contributing directly to the design, implementation, and optimization of high-performance production systems.
  • Build a team people want to join and stay on. You'll create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement, with a high bar for execution quality and room for people to grow.
  • Scale Samsara's culture as we grow globally. You'll champion and role model our principles as the team expands across new offices: Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, and Win as a Team.
  • Hire and develop top talent. You'll grow an inclusive, engaged, high-performing team, and help define what great edge AI engineering looks like at Samsara.
  • As Engineering Manager, you'll own how AI moves from a trained model to firmware running reliably on devices in the field across Samsara's customer fleet.
  • You will drive Samsara's edge AI strategy while mentoring engineers and delivering high-impact solutions.
  • If you're ready to build for the long term and own the outcome, your journey starts here.
  • At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving.
  • We want owners, not passengers, which is why our rewards are designed to fuel high-impact builders.

Requirements

  • In addition, you will establish the technical strategy, cross-functional relationships, and operational cadence required to launch low-latency, high-quality hardware programs at scale.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a diverse fast paced customer-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, or similar programming languages.
  • Proficiency in gstreamer, Google MediaPipe, or similar edge AI/Media frameworks.
