About the role

- MCA is looking for a full-time year-round pre-kindergarten classroom assistant for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Summary Assists the classroom teacher in leading and organizing the activities of prekindergarten children in the classrooms and the playground by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Helps children develop habits of caring for own clothing and picking up and putting away toys and books.
- Maintains discipline.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and staff to create a Christ-centered working atmosphere.
- Maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students, families, and staff
- Maintain and enforce the safety and security of the children with continual monitoring of the environment to ensure safety
- Maintain a personal appearance that is a role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and in agreement with school policy
Requirements
- Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Compensation
- Biennial renewal CPR & First Aid training, annually renew blood borne pathogen, harassment, miscellaneous and PreK training requirements as directed by administration
Benefits
- Understand various health care procedures according to student needs in accordance with the schools Emergency List provided by administration.
- High School diploma; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
