About the role

The Residential Coordinator provides essential 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of the domestic violence shelter.
This position is responsible for crisis intervention, facilities management, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the front desk and maintaining a positive living environment within the shelter.
The residential coordinator will ensure the safety of shelter residents and the property of Shelter House.

The Residential Coordinator is the lead person on shift acting as the first point of contact for client needs and support.
How you will contribute: Ensure the safe functioning of the shelter and maintain a safe environment for clients.
Since the organization's inception, we have adapted and grown to meet community needs, all while working in partnership with government and private partners and community members.

A high school diploma or GED 2+ years of experience in human services Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and team members Strong verbal and written communication skills

A bachelor's in human services/ related field Experience working in programs serving victims of domestic violence Experience working in a residential environment

$20.00 Per Hour About Us Shelter House was established in 1981 as a grassroots responder to the homelessness crisis in Fairfax County.
